Sahara Reaching out to Asian women in distress

Who we areSahara is a Miami-based organization working to combat domestic violence in the Asian communities of South Florida, and to provide support for Asian women in distress. Sahara has provided support to victims of Domestic Violence from Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani backgrounds. Sahara is dedicated to assist domestic violence victims irrespective of their country of origin. Sahara's membership is open to both men and women. Literally translated in Hindi Sahara means "Assistance". We are here to assist women who are victims of domestic violence.

Sahara offers the following
culturally appropriate services in several languages:
 Sahara Help Line:
If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulties in
their home, they can get help.
With our phone line, victims can leave a message for our Counselors to direct them towards resources & services. Calls will be returned within 48 hours. This is not a Crisis Line. Non-Florida callers will not be able to get through to the phone line- if you are making a referral, please e-mail info.at.saharafl@gmail.com to reach us.
